When the Lipno region is covered with a blanket of snow, the landscape transforms into a large playground for winter fun. Sledding and sledging are among the most popular winter activities that visitors of all ages, from the youngest children to playful adults, can enjoy. Where to enjoy relaxed sledding and sledging in the Lipno region?

Sledding and sledging at Frymburk Ski Park
Frymburk Ski Park (Na Martě) is an ideal place for families who want comfort. A specially maintained slope for sledding and sledging can be found right next to the parking lot in the Méďa Kubík children’s park. For maximum comfort, there is a magic carpet available that will take you and your sled effortlessly back to the top.
Entrance to the park is subject to a fee, with various options available. Basic entry to the hill costs approx. 150 CZK. If you want to save your legs, a ticket with the magic carpet is worth it (250 CZK). And if you don’t have your own equipment, the best choice is the so-called Bobo-sledge-pass (350 CZK), which includes entry, unlimited rides on the carpet, and sledge rental right on site.
You can go sledding here in favorable snow conditions daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. To check the current status, we recommend calling: +420 604 349 955.
Sledding and sledging at Lake Lipno Ski Resort
Lake Lipno Ski Resort also thinks about sledge lovers, but you need to watch the operating hours. The popular Fox park serves exclusively small skiers during the day, so you can only head here for evening sledding. This usually takes place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM under artificial lighting, and entry is free. Don’t have your own sledge? No problem — you can rent them directly in the resort at Intersport Rent Lipno. Fox park is an ideal choice for families who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the lit slope and “tire out” the children after a day spent on a trip.
Natural sledding and sledging around Lipno
In addition to the maintained areas, the Lipno surroundings offer endless natural slopes where you can enjoy sledging and sledding. These locations are sought after primarily by visitors who prefer a quieter environment away from the main tourist centers. However, when choosing these places, one must be extra cautious and select slopes with sufficient space, without dangerous obstacles such as trees, stones, or fences.
A specific and beautiful experience is sledging directly on the frozen surface of Lake Lipno. Once the ice is safe, the reservoir becomes a huge plain where you can pull children on sledges or bobsleighs for miles without having to walk uphill. It is an ideal option for families with smaller children – you enjoy the sun, the space, and the unique atmosphere of the frozen lake.

🇩🇪 Mitterdorf Ski Resort (Germany) – COMFORTABLE COVERED CONVEYOR

- Why go here: Unique covered conveyor (tunnel), so the wind doesn’t blow on the children on the way up.
- Price: You can buy cheaper tickets only for sledging (approx. 10–14 €).

- Where to find it: It is approx. 350 meters long and lies to the right of the Hochfichtbahn cable car.
- Important: Sledging is prohibited on the ski slopes; you must use this designated track. Operation depends on snow conditions.
