Where Lake Lipno begins, you will find the not too large beach in Nová Pec. The water here is cooler but very clean. Access to the water is gentle. The shore is partly sandy, partly grassy. It is just a jump to a restaurant with outdoor seating. A place for those who want to try something a bit different in the Lake Lipno region.

Nová Pec, a village situated at the upper end of the Lake Lipno reservoir, represents a true gateway to Šumava. It is right here that Lake Lipno meets the untouched nature of the Šumava National Park. Besides being a starting point for unforgettable trips, it also offers a peaceful beach where you can enjoy relaxation in complete calm.

The beach in Nová Pec differs from other Lake Lipno beaches mainly by its authentic atmosphere. While elsewhere on Lake Lipno you might encounter crowded places with many attractions, here you will find real peace and harmony with nature. The grassy beach with a gentle entry into the water offers ideal conditions for safe swimming for families with children. The surrounding Šumava forests and mountain massifs in the background create a backdrop that charms every nature lover.

One of the greatest advantages of the beach in Nová Pec is its strategic location. In the mornings you can set out on a hike into the national park and in the afternoon relax on the beach with a refreshing swim. The village of Nová Pec is also well accessible by car, bus, and train, which facilitates trip planning.

Water sports lovers will appreciate the possibility to rent a boat and explore the upper part of Lake Lipno, where the Vltava river flows into the reservoir. This area is also a paradise for fishermen.

Just a few steps from the beach is the popular restaurant U Mostu. It offers outdoor seating, fast food, and classic meals.
