The World Under the Surface (Svět pod hladinou) exhibition offers a fascinating look into the mysterious life that takes place outside our normal sight.
This carefully curated exhibition presents a diverse range of freshwater and marine animals. Children are usually thrilled by the opportunity to see creatures up close that they previously only knew from books or documentaries. Colorful coral fish, elegant rays, piranhas, moray eels, and even smaller shark species – all these inhabitants of the undersea world are displayed literally at your fingertips. Let yourself be drawn into the fascinating world under the surface.
Imagine walking among more than 30 aquariums, each telling its own story. From familiar inhabitants of Czech rivers and lakes to exotic creatures from the Amazon and tropical seas. This engaging journey will take you through the diversity of underwater life – from carp and pike to moray eels, lionfish, or the brownbanded bamboo shark.
Children usually cannot take their eyes off the playful clownfish, majestic rays, or brightly glowing coral fish. Each aquarium is a small work of art that brings a specific underwater environment with its unique inhabitants closer. And there are also curiosities – such as fossils from the times when there was a sea in the territory of today’s Czech Republic.
