Lake Lipno Treetop Walkway – an experience in every season

The Treetop Walkway in Lipno nad Vltavou is a unique wooden walkway 675 meters long, which takes you up to a height of 40 meters. At its end stands a lookout tower with a magnificent view of the Lake Lipno reservoir, the Šumava Mountains, and the distant Alps. Thanks to wheelchair access, the path is suitable for strollers and wheelchair users, so truly everyone can manage it. It is open year-round – even in winter, when special events are held, such as the Magical Path with evening lighting. For older children and adults, there is a giant slide, and for all children, interactive educational elements and playful stops that introduce them to life in the forest.

Tip for a walking trip via the Kingdom of the Forest

If you want to combine a visit to the walkway with a short walk, we recommend parking at the top parking lot near Kramolín. From there, follow the yellow tourist route, which will lead you comfortably and gradually to the Treetop Walkway.

The round trip measures about 3 km and leads through the Kingdom of the Forest (Království lesa) – a children’s area full of attractions where the whole family will be entertained. The advantage of this route is that you save on the cable car from the main parking lot down in Lipno nad Vltavou. Additionally, you will find several places for refreshments along the way, so there is no threat of hunger or boredom. And the views? They are a certainty.

Variant with cable car and scooters

If you park at the main parking lot down in Lipno nad Vltavou, a cable car will take you comfortably to the Walkway. Directly at the upper station, you can rent scooters and enjoy the way down as a great ride. For children, it is a great experience – the safe route leads back to the parking lot and combines the trip with a bit of adrenaline. So whether you walk through the Kingdom of the Forest or choose the cable car with scooters, a day full of fun awaits you.
