Horní Planá Beach

No need to search or ask around. These are the beaches that have long been among the most popular at Lake Lipno.
The only question is: can you manage to try them all during your holiday?

  • Horní Planá Beach – A sandy beach with gradual entry into the water, ideal for families with small children. A quieter atmosphere, beautiful views, and great swimming just a short distance from us.
  • Windy Point Beach in Černá v Pošumaví – A spacious beach with an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else at Lake Lipno. In the summer, it hosts one event after another: music, drinks, and a relaxed mood. Ideal for those who want “something more than just lying by the water.”
  • Lipno nad Vltavou Beach – A central beach with full facilities: changing rooms, toilets, beach volleyball court, mini-golf, pedal boat rental, and refreshments. Perfect for families with children thanks to the gradual entry into the water and children’s playground.
  • Frymburk Beach – An active beach with rentals for boats, pedal boats, and paddleboards. In the summer, small concerts and events often take place here, alongside good refreshments and a wide range of activities.
  • Přední Výtoň Beach – This beach at Lake Lipno offers quiet relaxation by the water with a view of the Church of St. Philip and James. And, of course, great swimming.
  • Nová Pec Beach – A quiet beach at the beginning of Lake Lipno with the cleanest and coldest water in the lake. A combination of sand and grass, a gentle entry into the water, and a natural atmosphere. Refreshments are right by the beach. Ideal for those who want peace and a different swimming experience than at the main beaches.

Tips for Swimming at Lake Lipno

  • The cleanest water is usually at the upper end of Lake Lipno – Nová Pec, Bližší Lhota.
  • The warmest water is usually in the bays and at beaches with shallow areas (Horní Planá, Frymburk).
  • Find peace in the morning – most beaches are almost empty until 10 AM.
  • Windy afternoons = ideal time for paddleboarding or windsurfing.
  • If it’s too windy, it’s worth moving to a sheltered spot – like Přední Výtoň or smaller bays.
  • Bad weather? Aquapark Frymburk or Aquaworld Lipno have you covered.

Our Secret Tip: Natural Beach in Hůrka

Beaches are great, but sometimes you want to be completely away from civilization. That’s exactly why the natural beach in Hůrka exists – a place unknown to the tourist crowds.

No stands, no rentals. Just clean water, peace, and privacy. Ideal for a morning swim, a walk with the kids, the dog, or just for a moment of silence.

And the best part? It’s a five-minute walk from our apartments. Just cross the road and walk straight. We highly recommend this spot to our guests.

📍 Where to Relax After a Day at the Beach?

After a day spent on the sun-drenched beaches of Lake Lipno, it’s the perfect time to relax. Our comfortable family apartments are a great base for the whole family. We offer a large fenced garden, a children’s playground, a saltwater pool, and a peaceful environment.

And if you feel like more adventure, Lake Lipno offers plenty of options: we recommend trips, cycling routes, or experiences with children. And in the evening, head back to our garden, where children can continue their fun while you enjoy a cold drink.
