Here is a list of some shops in the Lipno region where you can purchase a permit:

It is important to verify the current opening hours and availability before purchasing, as they may vary depending on the time of year.

Pension Adler in Hůrka – sale of fishing permits

Tips for successful fishing at Lake Lipno

Choosing the right spot significantly influences your success. For catching carp, bays and shallower parts have proven successful, while predators prefer open waters and deeper areas. Experiment with bait. Carp react to boilies, corn, and pellets, while predators respond to wobblers, soft baits, and spoons.

For the maximum chance of a catch, we recommend fishing for predators at dawn or dusk when they are most active and bite best during weather changes. Conversely, carp bite throughout the day. A specialty of Lake Lipno is the possibility of deep trolling, dragging the bait behind a moving boat, but only on one rod with one permitted bait.

Season for fishing at Lake Lipno

Lake Lipno offers fishing all year round, with only a few exceptions given by fishing regulations. Fishing for predatory fish is permitted from June 16th to December 31st. It is during this period (June–September) that the popular 24-hour fishing (nonstop) is also allowed on selected sections, which is a great attraction for anglers. Always check the current conditions in the Fishing Regulations.

Ice fishing is prohibited at Lake Lipno. In the winter months, carp-like fish have only minimal activity, so Lake Lipno itself is not very suitable for winter fishing. However, if you still want to fish in winter, ice holes in private districts are a great choice – for example, at Hůrka trout farming just a few steps from our apartments.

Fishing at Lake Lipno is not just about the catch itself, but also about the connection with the beautiful nature of the Bohemian Forest. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or just starting, these waters will offer you unforgettable experiences and perhaps the catch of a lifetime.
