To Světlík and the Pond Loop (38 km · 357 m elevation)

Route description

The route starts directly at the Apartmány Nad rybníky in Hůrka. From here, you head through Žlábek and Malý Lípno towards Světlík.

In Světlík, we recommend two stops:

  • Church of St. James – the village’s main landmark
  • Hospoda U Antoníčka – a well‑known local restaurant (map)

After Světlík, continue along the green St. James Trail. Shortly after the village, you pass a group of ponds created on former peatlands. Peaceful dams, water and forest — a perfect place for a short break. The surrounding wetlands are also home to protected waterbird species, so with a bit of luck you may spot something special.

Continue on the green trail to Liščí vrch, where you turn right onto the Šumavská 33 cycle route. A long, pleasant forest descent awaits you.

At the bottom, turn left and follow the forest path until you reach the cycle route 1022, which leads you back to the Lipno shoreline.

From here, ride along the water past the well‑known Windy Point beach and continue to Hůrka — directly to our Fish Restaurant, where you can end your ride in style.
