The Lipno Magistrale
Lipno Trail is an ideal choice for cyclists who want to enjoy the best of Lake Lipno without major elevation gain. This route, roughly 53 km long with a mild 229 m ascent, guides you along the main cycling path that runs along the lake’s left shore. It’s perfect for a relaxed ride and offers plenty of spots to rest and grab a bite.
Cycling along all of Lake Lipno? Why not. Set out on a bike trip that takes you along the main left-bank cycling route, from the very “end” of the lake all the way to its beginning. The Lipno Trail starts in Vyšší Brod, an excellent starting point. From here you continue past the Devil’s Wall and head straight to the reservoir with beautiful views of the water and surrounding landscape.
Continue through Frymburk and Černá v Pošumaví as the path winds along the lakeshore, and stop in the charming village of Hůrka. Here you can take a break and enjoy local dishes at the Fish Restaurant. Or simply stay overnight at the Apartments Nad Rybníky.
Your final stop is Nová Pec, from where you can easily return to our apartments by train or bike – it’s just a short distance.
