The cycling trip around Horní Planá “with a view” will take you along the shore of Lake Lipno to the city center and, for a little effort, will reward you with two beautiful panoramas. From Hůrka, you will set off on a comfortable path via Jenišov to Horní Planá, from where you head up to the Jezerní vyhlídka (Lake Viewpoint).
Then you return a little way back to the center of Planá, walk around the square and St. Margaret’s Church to Adalbert Stifter Park to the Dobrá Voda lookout tower. It is the highest point of the entire route, so the views are worth it!
Subsequently, a short descent and ascent await you through Švermova Street towards the go-karts, where you turn into the quiet of nature to Jelm. From Jelm, a beautiful forest path leads to Žlábek and along the asphalt back to Hůrka, where a well-deserved reward awaits you in the Fish Restaurant.
The route is manageable even for fitter children – it leads mainly on asphalt or paved paths and offers several places where they can have fun along the way. Near Horní Planá you can stop at a small beach, which is one of the favorite swimming spots for families with children. In the square in Horní Planá, you can then have ice cream or something sweet in the local confectionery before heading further to the viewpoints.
