A cycling trip for the treasures of the Bohemian Forest for more capable little cyclists. The route will take you around “Small Lipno” to the highest pond in the Czech Republic – Olšina. Swimming at the beach, a nature trail, and a great reward for children in the form of adventure golf at the Olšina resort await you.
Take the kids, hop on your bikes, and head out on a cycling trip around Small Lipno towards one of the highest ponds in the Czech Republic – Olšina. This route will take you into the beautiful Bohemian Forest nature, where you will enjoy not only the ride but also exceptional views. This trip is among the more demanding ones, requiring a bit of fitness from the children.
Once you arrive at Olšina, don’t forget to stop at the historic fishing bastion from the 15th century, which today serves as a fishery and forestry museum. Then you can enjoy swimming at the beach or lunch at the Olšina restaurant, which is open year-round.
And if you have even more energy, we recommend walking the Olšina nature trail around the pond. It is a 7 km long loop with beautiful views and interactive stops – an ideal addition, but rather for those who can handle a longer program. If not, it doesn’t matter – you can drive to the trail at any time and save it for next time.

At the beginning, a relaxing ride around Small Lipno with beautiful views awaits you. Along the way, flat sections and climbs alternate, so both children and parents will have to pedal a bit. The main destination is Olšina pond, where a swimming beach, a year-round restaurant, and a historic fishing bastion await you. If you want to extend the program, you can also add the Olšina nature trail – a loop around the pond with interactive stops. In short, Olšina is an ideal destination for a full-day trip with children – bike, swimming, nature, a bit of history, and whoever wants to, adds the nature trail.
