Cycling trip around Horní Planá with views (20 km, elevation gain 272 m)
A relaxing circuit for the best views of Horní Planá. Climb up to the Lake Viewpoint and Dobrá Voda lookout tower, then enjoy the ride back down to Lipno.
A trip for swimming and relaxation for more capable little cyclists. This route combines everything we love about summer – forest rides, stops by the water, and a great beach at the end. You will encounter natural attractions along the way and finish in Caribbean style at Windy Point.
We know this route like the back of our hand – and it is one of those where nature, swimming, and views alternate with adventure. We start in Hůrka and head through Černá v Pošumaví towards Muckov. Along the way, you will pass the natural monument Muckov limestone quarries – former quarries where bats and rare plants are protected today.
After Muckov, the route turns towards Pláničský Pond – a great place for a swim. It is a nature reserve, so no sun loungers, just real nature.
From there, you continue through the forest to Bližná. Along the way, the route crosses the main road – in this section, it is good to keep the children under supervision. In Bližná, turn towards Radslav. Here, wonderful views of Lake Lipno will open up – an ideal place for a short break. From Radslav, the route already leads along the shore to Windy Point beach. Children will enjoy the sand, parents a drink or coffee, and you can also rent a paddleboard. There is also a quiet zone, hammocks, and shade under the trees. Those who want can also play beach volleyball.
From Windy Point, it is only a few minutes to our Fish Restaurant in Hůrka – an ideal end to the trip with fresh fish for dinner.
Why is this route ideal for families with children 10+?
- The route has only mild elevation gain (158 m), so even recreational cyclists can handle it
- It leads away from main roads, mostly through the forest or along the water
- Offers swimming in natural locations: Pláničský Pond, Windy Point

- Windy Point is great motivation for kids – beach, paddleboards, ice cream
- Ending in Hůrka with the possibility of dinner and rest
