Start in Hůrka, the ideal choice
Start your adventure in the picturesque village of Hůrka. From here, join cycle path no. 33 towards Horní Planá. The first 7 kilometers along the left bank of Lake Lipno will offer you views that professional photographers would pay a fortune for. Every pedal stroke brings you closer to the feeling of freedom.
Beautiful cycle route through the Austrian borderlands
After passing through Horní Planá, where you can visit the birthplace of Adalbert Stifter, head to Pěkná and further along the Vltava to Nová Pec and Přední Zvonková. But WATCH OUT! Here comes the moment that separates regular cyclists from real pros – the crossing to Ulrichsberg, Austria. On the right bank of Lake Lipno, a parade of stunning scenery awaits you. Lipno nad Vltavou, Rožmberk, Frymburk… Each of these places would be worth a separate trip on its own. But you will visit them all in a single day! 137 kilometers is no walk in the park. This route is designed for more experienced cyclists who:
