Here we answer the most common questions from our guests who want to know how to optimally use their time at Lipno even in bad weather.
Are there aquaparks or pools at Lipno that are open in the rain?
Yes, in the Lipno region you’ll find two large indoor water centers: Aquapark Hotel Frymburk and Aquaworld Lipno. Both are ideal for families with children and offer fun and relaxation even if it rains outside.
What can I do with small children aged 2 to 6 when it rains?
For the little ones, the indoor playroom Playkid Frymburk is the ideal place to run wild. Very popular for a bad weather program are also Hopsárium Lipno and the colorful Papilonia (Butterfly House). All these attractions are located directly in Lipno or Frymburk.
Are there cultural activities or museums nearby that can be visited in the rain?
Definitely! A trip to the UNESCO city of Český Krumlov offers many indoor options (castle, museums, Egon Schiele Art Centrum). Directly at Lipno, you can also visit the LEGO exhibition Czech RepuBrick, which offers indoor fun on an area of 2,000 m².
Can we do something outside even in light rain?
Yes! With the right gear (raincoat, sturdy shoes), the nature at Lipno has its own charm. We recommend the Fairy Tale Reserve (Pohádková rezervace) or a walk to the lake. A panorama cruise with Lipno Line is also ideal because the boats have covered decks.

Our family accommodation at Lake Lipno is a great place where you can enjoy fun even in bad weather. In our garden, besides all the children’s attractions, there is a huge pergola with gas heating, where a whole gang of kids can play cards and board games.
